Quick Answer

An ATV (All Terrain Vehicle, also called quad bike or four-wheeler) is a four-wheel off-road vehicle designed for riding on rough terrain, sand, and desert trails. At U-Drive Eilat, we offer guided ATV tours in the Nahal Shlomo nature reserve using top-quality vehicles from Polaris and Kawasaki — from 300cc models for beginners and youth to 700cc for experienced riders.

What Is an ATV (Quad Bike)?

An ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) is a four-wheeled off-road vehicle that you ride astride, like a motorcycle. Unlike an RZR buggy where you sit side-by-side, an ATV gives you a more raw, connected riding experience — you feel every bump, every turn. Our ATVs are from Polaris and Kawasaki — reliable, powerful, and professionally maintained.

Why Choose an ATV Tour?

ATVs offer the most direct connection to the terrain — you feel the desert beneath you. Easy to learn, suitable for beginners, and available in different engine sizes from 300cc to 700cc. ATV tours in Eilat are one of the most popular attractions for both Israeli tourists and international visitors. Prices vary by season and route — contact us for a quote.

ATV Quad Bike FAQ

Do I need a license for an ATV in Eilat?

Yes — drivers must hold a valid Category B driver's license (standard car license). Passengers do not need a license. Children below driving age can join as passengers.

Can I ride without a license?

Self-driving requires a Category B license. However, you can ride as a passenger behind the driver — no license required. This is how children can also enjoy the experience.

How much does an ATV tour cost?

The price depends on the season, number of participants, route duration, and ATV model. Contact us for an accurate quote.

Is it suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. Our guide gives a full safety briefing, a short test ride, and then leads the convoy at your pace. Thousands of first-timers have ridden with us.

What's the difference between ATV and RZR buggy?

An ATV (quad bike) is straddled like a motorcycle — a raw, connected ride. An RZR is a side-by-side buggy with seats, steering wheel, and seat belts. RZR is more stable and comfortable; ATV is more thrilling and engaging.

What route does the ATV tour follow?

The standard route goes through Nahal Shlomo nature reserve — panoramic views of the Eilat Mountains and the Red Sea. The route is about 15 km, duration approximately 1 hour. Longer routes available on request.

What is the minimum age for ATV tours?

Children from age 5 can ride as passengers behind an adult driver. Self-driving from age 16 with a valid B license.

Is the ATV tour available on Shabbat?

Yes — U-Drive Eilat operates 7 days a week, including Shabbat and all holidays. Book any day.

Is there a two-person ATV option?

Yes — each ATV has a seat for the driver and a passenger seat behind. The sunset couples' tour is our most popular option.
