Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before booking an off-road ATV, RZR, or Polaris Ranger tour in Eilat: licenses, age limits, dress code, and safety guidelines.
Do I need a driver's license to drive an ATV or RZR? ▼
Yes, to drive an ATV (quad bike) or RZR buggy, the driver must hold a valid standard car driver's license (Category B). Passengers do not need a license.
What is the difference between an ATV, RZR, and Polaris Ranger? ▼
An ATV (quad bike) features handlebar steering and straddle seating. An RZR buggy is a sporty side-by-side with a steering wheel and roll cage. The Polaris Ranger is a comfortable 4-seater family off-road vehicle.
What type of transmission do your vehicles have? ▼
All our vehicles (ATVs, RZR, and Ranger) feature automatic CVT transmission. Driving is extremely simple: gas pedal, brake pedal, and steering wheel.
I have never driven an ATV before, is it difficult? ▼
Not at all! Most of our guests are driving an off-road vehicle for the first time. Before departure, our senior guide conducts a complete briefing and a practice test drive.
From what age can children join the tour? ▼
Children can participate as passengers from age 2-3 in Polaris Ranger and RZR buggies (using proper child car seats or seat belts). Children aged 6-8 and above can ride on ATVs as passengers.
How is safety ensured for children during the ride? ▼
RZR and Ranger buggies are equipped with a rigid roll cage and multi-point seat belts. Every child receives a fitted helmet, and the guide leads the group at a safe pace.
Can our entire family ride in one vehicle? ▼
Yes! The Polaris Ranger allows a family (up to 4 people) to travel together in one vehicle driven by one parent while everyone enjoys the view.
Is the tour suitable for seniors or pregnant women? ▼
For older guests, a smooth ride in the Polaris Ranger is comfortable and enjoyable. We do not recommend off-road tours for pregnant women due to natural terrain movement.
What should I wear on an off-road tour in Eilat? ▼
Closed-toe shoes (sneakers) are required. We recommend comfortable clothing (long pants/jeans and a T-shirt), sunglasses, and sunscreen. Helmets and safety goggles are provided.
How far in advance should I book? ▼
We recommend booking 1-3 days in advance, especially during weekends, holidays, and peak season, to secure your preferred vehicle and time slot.
How long do desert tours last and are there stops? ▼
Standard tours range from 1.5 to 3 hours. Routes lead through scenic canyons and mountain viewpoints in the Eilat Mountains with stops for rest, tea, and photos.
What is the cancellation or rescheduling policy? ▼
You can cancel or reschedule your reservation free of charge up to 24 hours before the tour start time. In case of adverse weather conditions, tours are rescheduled safely.
